A practice shaped by what organisations actually need
We are not a generalist firm. Tessaro focuses on a narrow set of advisory services where we believe our approach makes a genuine difference.
Back to HomeFounded on a frustration with unfocused consulting
Tessaro was established in Hong Kong in 2014 by a group of practitioners who had spent years inside large consulting practices watching well-intentioned engagements lose their way — too many workstreams, too many slides, too little honest conversation with the people who actually run the business.
The founding premise was simple: a small number of focused services, delivered with rigour, by senior people who stay involved from first conversation to final handover. We have not deviated from that.
Today Tessaro works across sectors — from family-owned trading companies in Wong Chuk Hang to regional professional services firms in Central — and our client relationships tend to be long. That is partly a function of quality, and partly because we only take on work we think we can do well.
Our Mission
To help Hong Kong organisations make better decisions by giving their leadership the tools, data, and outside perspective they do not always have access to internally.
Our Approach
We enter each engagement with curiosity rather than pre-formed conclusions. The work begins with listening. We resist the temptation to apply frameworks before we understand the specific situation in front of us.
Our Values
Candour, precision, and respect. We say what we see. We do the work carefully. And we treat every client's organisation with the same consideration we would want for our own.

How we keep the work sound
Strict confidentiality
All client data is handled under mutual NDA and deleted after engagement close. No information appears in case studies or materials without written consent.
Evidence-based conclusions
Findings are drawn from data, interviews, and structured observation — not assumption. We do not present opinions as facts.
Senior-only delivery
Work is performed by the consultant named in the engagement letter, without delegation to junior or associate staff, throughout the full duration of the project.
Defined scope and outputs
Every engagement begins with a written scope document. Deliverables, timelines, and cost are agreed before work starts, with no hidden fees or add-ons.
Professional conduct
Our consultants adhere to professional advisory standards and maintain ongoing development in their respective areas of practice.
Honest communication
We will tell you when something is not working, when scope is at risk, or when our findings do not support the direction you hoped for. Clarity serves you better than comfort.
Business consulting with depth, not breadth
Tessaro works within a deliberately narrow scope. Rather than covering every domain of management consulting, we have concentrated on three areas — leadership alignment, financial health, and change readiness — where structured, well-facilitated advisory genuinely changes outcomes.
Our background spans financial services, trade, professional services, and family-owned enterprises. We understand that organisations in Hong Kong operate within a particular commercial culture that values pragmatism, discretion, and clear communication — and we design our work accordingly.
The organisations that benefit most from working with Tessaro tend to be those at a decision point: expanding into new markets, navigating leadership transitions, preparing for change, or simply trying to understand why financial performance has diverged from expectations. In each case, we provide the structured analysis and facilitated dialogue that helps leadership teams move from uncertainty toward a clear path forward.
We would be glad to talk about what you are facing
